There is a wise saying that goes, “If you do not design your own life, someone else will do it for you.” This proverb refers to the importance of having control over pressure, deadlines, and targets in your personal and professional life.

Being your own pressure sculptor has advantages. You can plan and manage pressures before pressures from others arise and influence you. In other words, you are like a captain who controls the direction and speed of the ship, not just a passenger who is hit by waves and powerless.

When you set your own deadlines, it’s akin to creating a music score. The melody you play runs at the tempo you set, not left to play randomly by others. You have full control over the rhythm and when to press pause or play.

Setting your own targets is like being a sharpshooter, choosing targets and hitting the mark, not just waiting for targets to come and be shot by others. You have choices and precise decisions in determining direction and goals.

Remember, if you do not direct in creating pressure, setting deadlines, and determining targets, you will only be a supporting player in a scenario written by others. Be the director in the movie of your own life, and don’t let others dictate how your life script should be played. You are the scriptwriter of your own life, and you have the right to determine its plot.
